| Birding Season May into early JULY Due to our four diverse ecosystems many species of birds migrate through Churchill and it is known to be one of the world’s Hot Spots for birding. Some of the rarest birds in the world nest here, such as the Ross’ Gull. There are also Sabine’s, Ivory and Little gulls, three species of Jaegers, Smith’s Longspur and the Willow Ptarmigan to name a few. Local naturalists and tour guides are familiar with the best birding locations. Book a Hudson Bay Floe Ice boat tour for a closer look at Churchill’s coastal birds. |
